The Context & Challenge
For decades, African airlines have been forced to fly their aircraft to Europe or the Middle East for heavy C-check and D-check maintenance due to a lack of certified MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities in West Africa. Aerojet Aviation embarked on an ambitious mission to change this reality by establishing the Aerojet Aviation Training Academy at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, certified to European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. They needed a digital platform and media package to launch the academy.
Strategic Approach & Execution
SA collaborated directly with Aerojet’s aerospace leadership to build an end-to-end digital portal. The visual direction bridged cutting-edge aeronautical engineering with African ambition: sharp chamfered grid layouts, high-contrast typography, and blueprint technical overlays. We handled the complete digital course catalog, student application pipelines, and interactive faculty showcases.
The Deliverables & Craft
In addition to digital web development, SA produced the official launch video and recruitment films. Filming inside aircraft hangars, avionics workshops, and simulator bays, we captured the precision required in aircraft gas turbine maintenance and structural inspection. The film highlighted the historic significance of training world-class African aviation engineers on African soil.
Outcomes & Long-Term Impact
The platform launch generated unprecedented regional interest. In its maiden application cycle, the academy received thousands of admissions inquiries from across West Africa.
